Hotel 

We have reserved a block of hotel rooms at the Knight Center at a special rate of $114 per night.  To reserve a room at this special rate, you must call (866) 933-9400 or (314) 933-9400 or email the front desk at .  (Please do not reserve the room online.)  Be sure to mention the promotional code THATCamp.  The block of rooms is good until Monday, October 21, 2013.  If you have any problems reserving a room, please contact Stephanie Atkins at .

The Knight Center is located on the Washington University campus, about a 10-minute walk from the Olin Library and the Danforth University Center (DUC).  Parking at the Knight Center is $6.00 per car, per day.

Driving Directions

Heading west on US40/I-64 (from points east of campus, including Illinois)

  • Exit at Clayton/Skinker (34B).
  • Turn right onto Skinker Blvd.
  • Turn left onto Forsyth Blvd after approximately 1 mile.

Heading east on I-44 (from points west of campus)

  • Exit at Jamison and turn left.
  • Turn left on Arsenal and proceed over the bridge.
  • Turn right on McCausland.
  • McCausland becomes Skinker Blvd.
  • Turn left on Forsyth after approximately 1 mile.

Heading north on I-55 (from points south of campus)

  • Take I-55 to I-270 west or north. Take I-44 east exit.
  • Exit at Jamison and turn left.
  • Turn left on Arsenal and proceed over the bridge.
  • Turn right on McCausland. McCausland becomes Skinker Blvd.
  • Turn left on Forsyth after approximately 1 mile.

Heading south on I-70/I-55 (from points north of campus)

  • Merge onto I-70 via the left-hand ramp toward St. Louis.
  • Merge onto I-170 south via exit 238B, Clayton.
  • Merge onto Forest Park Parkway via exit 1E.
  • Turn right onto Big Bend Blvd.
  • Turn left onto Forsyth Blvd.

Public Transportation

Via Metrolink: For $3, you can take the light-rail system to the University City/Big Bend Station. After exiting the train, take the elevator or stairs to street level. Washington University’s Danforth campus is on the southeast corner (Big Bend and Forest Park Parkway).

  • To reach the Knight Center, walk east on Forest Park Parkway and turn right on Throop Drive. The Knight Center is straight ahead.

Visitor Parking

Option 1: Weekend Parking

Visitors who will be parking on campus during weekends (from 6:00 p.m. Friday to 7:00 a.m. Monday) are permitted to park in yellow zones without displaying a parking permit (with the exception of the Danforth University Center Garage): Campus Parking Map.

Option 2: Danforth University Center Garage

Visitor parking is conveniently located in the Danforth University Center Garage. The charge is $1.00 per hour, with a maximum charge of $8.00 for the day. Payment will be required upon exiting the garage; cash and credit cards are accepted. The Danforth University Center Garage is designated as number 82 on the Campus Parking Map.
