I studied English at Washington University in St. Louis & Keble College, Oxford. I took that passion for English and decided (somewhat haphazardly) to try to master the arcane world of brain network imaging. I have spent the last few years writing R as opposed to reading Milton, and I'm fascinated to see how folks are using all the math techniques we use in neuroscience (graph theory, statistical modeling, etc.) in digitial humanities research.
